The inspiration for my artwork  “The eyes of others our prisons; their thoughts our cages” is a quote from Virginia Woolf’s book Monday or Tuesday. It reflects the attitudes of the Bloomsbury Group, including Virginia and her sister Vanessa Bell, who shared a spirit of rebellion against what they saw as the unnecessary conventions, restraints and double standards of their times.
